Wow. It was an incredible movie, it really was. Ellen Page (who is CANADIAN, thank you very much) should win an Oscar. See, we can accomplish great things. The cold makes us stronger.
Also, my boy Michael Cera aka George Michael aka Evan from Superbad was in it, whish is always a plus with a capital P. He was one of two reasons I even went to see the movie, the other one being that they played a Moldy Peaches song in the trailer. If anyone doesn't know the Moldy Peaches...shame on you.

Christmas
Good haul this year, considering the only thing I asked for was a rubber chicken and my parents didn't know what to get me.
They ended up getting me one of them SHINE cellphones which, to tell you the truth, I didn't really want, but then I started playing with it and it's actually pretty neato. I already downloaded a spice girls ringtone! I wonder if they have Hannah Montana ones....
I also got some DVD's (including Arrested Development season 2, yes!) an itunes card and some clothes, because I guess girls are supposed to like clothes or whatever. But some of them are actually pretty cute, if I do say so myself.
Anyways, I'm going to James Haunakkah party today, which should be fun.
Peace,
Ray

Novel time!
I started a novel planning book. So far I have the narrator, the main character, and a very rough and unfinished plot outline. Oh, and a topic sentence. It came to me in a dream (the universe must really want me to write this book.)
Back from vacation!
I'm baaaack. Let the trumpets blare and the angels sing.
Trip was awesome. Paddleboarded, surfed, windsurfed, hiked, stalked the attractive Hawaiian people, saw Michael from Lost. Good trip.
And Christmas is tomorrow. Feeling pretty chilled. Just uploading pics to facebook.
Peace,
Ray

Food drive
We were RIPPED OFF!!!!
Gahhhh, I'm so angry right now!! I am currently shunning all of the grade twelves for ETERNITY (or at least until they graduate, the bumfarts.)
Lemme explain my outrage, outcries and general discontentment: we had an inter-grade food drive challenge, so there's a winner from 7-9 and one from 10-12. We, the grade tens, worked our behinds off the get tons of cans and a wonderful variety of food for the needy, trampling the grade elevens and their pitiful attempt on the way. We so deserve that afternoon of laser tag!
But then the stupid grade twelves pooled all their money and bought all these cheap bulk noodles and just beat us. That's so lame! They didn't even work! Everyone, even teachers, agree we should have won, but they can't really change the rules. So I will just shun the Grade 12's for life and put worms in their pants. I hope they are wary of my wrath. Mwa. Ha.
PEACE

Bleh. BLAH. I feel meh-y. You know that feeling of, like, "Smdjsdhncfjsv" where you don't have the effort to speak, move or think? Yes, that is Ray on this fine today.
I need to get somewhere warm, I'm tired of here. "Get out of California, tired of the sunset, think I'm going to Boston, going to start a new life, where no one knows my name."
Well no, California is probably warmer than Boston, but it seemed like a good time to quote Augustana.
GACHK. I feel LAME. How I'm ever going to be a hardcore rockstar/novelist/human rights activist when I have no energy is beyond me. I had a very busy day.
IF ANYONE EVER STUMBLES RANDOMLY ACROSS THIS BLOG, DO WHAT I SAY RIGHT NOW: Download the song "I Found a Reason" by Cat Power.
Peacles,
ray

R and J soundtrack
Picking songs for my Romeo and Juliet soundtrack project due tomorrow. I need ten; so far I have 6 picked and reports written about 5 of them. If anyone has any suggestions, lemme know. Think tragic or romantic, generally. Here's what I have so far"
Boston - Augustana
I'll Be - Edwin McCain
Stop Crying Your Heart Out - Oasis
Baby Girl - Will Hoge
When I'm Up I Can't get Down - Great Big Sea.
So Close - Jon McLaughlin
Would it be inappropriate to use a Hannah Montana song? I'm seriously debating it, because, as you know, she's awesome (see below).
Peace,
Ray

Frikki frikki frikki fresh
I LOVE Hannah Montana. I know I shouldn't and I pretend I don't and I know it's stupid but it is AWESOME. Really truly, I always sing her songs in the shower and I heart Oliver with all my frikki frikki frikki heart, baybee.
No one comments on my posts. It makes me feel sad and lonely. If anyone makes a comment, they will get a very amazing prize (undisclosed at the moment.)
Hawaii next week! Surf, sand, stalking the people from Lost. The usual. My uncle still lives in Dominic Monaghan's building. YES.

Today is occuring
Going to see Enchanted with my Sandwich. She wanted to go and see the Golden Compass, and I was all "pssh, no"o yes, we're going to see Enchanted. I finally convinced her.
Speaking of Sandwich, we got 100 on our Romeo and Juliet rap. I knew we would, it was kick ass.
Speaking of kick ass, Grey's Anatomy was AWESOME on Thursday. Poor artery guy died, but then they had a dance party and George and Izzie were cutie.
Speaking of cutie, other Ray and I watched this cute Disney Channel movie with Lilly from Hannah Montana and sexy jake Ryan about Halloween. Then we watched the Office yeyeah.
Just so you all know, I've invented code names for all of my friends, because the internet can be a very dangereux place. I will often talk about James, the Sandwich, other Ray, Scanny and others.
PEACE,
Ray

Hurrah!
Newspaper article will be PUBLISHED! I thought it wasn't very good, but I guess they are desperate. It'll be hard to explain to my friends, seeing as I've spent the last two years making fun of the newspaper club. I called it the loopaper club (I'm SO hilarious.)
Yes, so anyways, my column is called Ray's serious column and it's about things that aren't very serious at all, so in a way it's sort of humoury. My first one is about how to defend and protect yourself around Christmastime.
Fun stuff.

La Da Di Da Da Da
"And all of the stars are fading away
Try not to worry, you'll see them some day"
I learned about this song on the bathroom wall at school. It can be a very educational place. I also learned the kick ass phrase "You make my floppy disk a HARD drive!" and that a large percentage of my school hates society.
Every week I respond to the negative comments positively and correct people's grammar with my purple pen. Bow.

UPDATE:
Ceramic guitar cup in art coming along crappily. It's crooked and ugly and awful and I HATE it. Also, the handle that is shaped like a pick looks like a fish tail. I tried to get out of making a stupid handle at all, saying I would just hand in my cup and play a song by Handel. It got a chuckle, but I'm still failing.
Novel is not coming along so great. Maybe I'll work on it in Hawaii, like I did on the last one.
Guitar is coming along nicely. Learned two new songs last week. almost brave enough to try out for the rock band. Next year, next year.
Voice teacher still trying to convince me to go in the concert. Meh.

A good day
I had a really good day today. Which is slightly abnormal, lately.
We went to this thing at the Conference Centre and walked around to tables about different universities and got free stuff and encouragement. I entered to win a ride along in an ambualnce, which would be SO FREAKING AWESOME. They let me enter even though you're supposed to be sixteen. They said if I win they'll just postpone it until my birthday.
I just had a good feeling today. There is so much to do, and when I don't have my feeling of impending doom, I really enjoy living.
This guy randomly asked me what I wanted to do, and I said I wanted to be a writer but I also liked medicine, and he gave me a pen that looks like a syringe. It's HOT.
Then back at school, during assembly, this one teacher was saying we had to sing louder, so I was practically shouting the words as a joke, but then later I overheard one of the teachers saying that I had a beautiful voice and I was like "hmmm..."
New Grey's Anatomy tonight. Stoked.
Peace,
Ray

I like National Days
Yesterday was National Fritters day! Today is National roof over your head day. Here are some other upcoming festive days:
Dec. 4: National Wear Brown shows day
Dec. 5: National Bathtub Party day
Dec. 6: National Mitten Tree day
And my personal favourite, Dec. 12 is National Ding-a-Ling day! Not quite sure how you celebrate that one.....
By national, they probably mean America (razzin frazzin) but we'll just pretend it means Canada.

Homework zombies
AARGH. Why do people care so much about homework?
I mean, I know it's important and everything, but should it really control your life? Who wants to be on their death bed thinking "Dang, I wish I'd gone to that movie with Ray instead of working towards somewhere I won't even get now." (I'm a little death obsessed.)
But my. freinds. are obsessed. with. flipping. HOMEWORK!
I have been rejected so many times by people who say they can't hang out next weekend because they have sooo much homework or OMG there's a test in two weeks! I tried to convince my friend to go see a movie next weekend Saturday at eight and shes' all "I can't, too much homework" and I said "would you really be doing homework Saturday at eight if I didn't take you out" and she said "yes."
I have the same courseload as these people, and I get by being the world's biggest slacker. Am I missing something?
Rant over. Exit Ray

Worried About Ray
Current favourite song: Worried about Ray by the Hoosiers
NOT just because it has my name in it. That's only like....50 percent of the reason. It's just a pretty good song.
"Truth be told, truth be told, I'm treading on my tippy toes, my tippy toe-oe-oe-oes, I'm starting to worry about Ray." THAT'S ME!
We perform our Romeo and Juliet project on Wednesday. GAH. I keep forgetting my lines and randomly running out of breath because I'm nervous, even though I'm an EXCELLENT public speaker and DID win the speech contest last year. (I'm humble too)
I like to use my blog to compliment myself.
